FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, and more specifically to traumatology and orthopedics, and is an innovative universal palmar (volar) fixation device for osteosynthesis in the treatment of fractures of the distal radius of the palm. Palmar (volar) fixation device for osteosynthesis in the treatment of fractures of the distal radius of the palm includes a T-shaped plate for placement on the palmar side of the radius, pins for fixing the T-shaped plate on the radius, screws having a screw thread on the lateral surface of the head with slotted and cylindrical rod, pins having a screw thread on the slotted head. The T-plate is an elongated body having a proximal portion intended to be positioned along the intact portion of the radius and a distal portion at an angle to the proximal portion. Both parts have through holes without a thread for knitting needles and through holes with a thread for screws with a screw thread on the head with a slot and a cylindrical rod, equipped with removable guides for drilling holes in the bone with the ability to change the angle of inclination of the screw axis, and for pins with a screw thread on a head with a slot, equipped with removable guides for drilling holes in the bone with the ability to change the angle of inclination of the pin axis. The proximal part additionally has at least one oblong oval hole without thread for a screw with a smooth lateral surface of the head. The T-shaped plate is made with a thickness of the proximal part in the range of 1.8-2.4 mm, and the distal part extending from it, on the side intended for facing the bone, is located on one side with respect to the proximal part at an angle of 22- 26°, and on the other side - at an angle of 28-31°. The leading edge of the distal part has a bend in plan, passing along a line corresponding to the watershed line on the bone, without going beyond it, and is made all sharpened.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible, by providing a better adherence of the T-shaped plate to the bone surface and reducing trauma to tissues and tendons, to provide improved conditions for bone fusion, especially taking into account the mutual influence of tissues and tendons located under the distal and proximal parts of the T-shaped plate on each other.
