FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemistry of polyhedral borohydride compounds and aminoguanidine, namely, to nickel dodecahydro-closo-dodecaborate bis(aminoguanidine) with the composition Ni(CH6N4)2B12H12 and a method for production thereof. Nickel dodecahydro-closo-dodecaborate bis(aminoguanidine) is produced in reaction of aminoguanidine CH6N4, Ni2+ cations, and B12H122– anions in an aqueous medium, followed by release of the target product.
EFFECT: proposed compound is applicable as energy-intensive components of various, e.g., pyrotechnic, compositions.
