SUBSTANCE: invention relates to animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, ecology. The method for determining the level of iron in the liver of pigs includes the analysis of the bio-substrate. At the same time, a biochemical study of the blood serum of pigs is carried out. The concentration of one of the blood serum parameters to choose from is detected, namely urea, inorganic phosphorus, Ca/P ratio, and then the regression equations are calculated: x=145.482+57.098y, where y is the content of urea (mmol/l) in blood serum, x is the content of Fe (mg/kg) in the liver, x=778.523-115.190y, where y is the content of inorganic phosphorus (mmol/l) in blood serum, x is the content of Fe (mg/kg) in the liver, x =177.592+179.676y, where y is the Ca/P ratio in blood serum, x is the Fe content (mg/kg) in the liver.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to conduct a lifetime assessment of the internals of animals by the content of trace constituent in the specified parenchymal organ, using only blood samples.
