SUBSTANCE: present disclosure is aimed at providing vinyl sulfonic anhydride, which can be used as a synthetic intermediate compound for the synthesis of fluorinated monomer. It is also aimed at the efficient production of vinyl sulfonic anhydride. It is also aimed at the efficient production of fluorinated monomer using vinyl sulfonic anhydride. Vinyl sulfonic anhydride of this disclosure is expressed by the general formula (1) (where m is 0 and n is an integer from 1 to 6). In addition, a method for producing vinyl sulfonic anhydride of this disclosure includes contact and mixing of a compound of vinyl sulfonic acid represented by the general formula (2) (where m is 0, n is an integer from 1 to 6, and M is a hydrogen atom, alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, Ag, quaternary ammonium salt or quaternary phosphonium salt), with an anhydridization agent.
