FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method for detecting fetus movements includes: extraction of peaks from a Doppler ultrasound signal received from a subject, wherein each peak of peaks is associated with an envelope of a segment of the Doppler ultrasound signal; calculation of peak density as a function of cells of an amplitude grid, wherein the density indicates a number of peaks with amplitude in each amplitude grid; selection of a threshold value of fetus movement based on the calculated density and determination of whether the segment of the Doppler ultrasound signal contains fetus movement by comparing the amplitude of the peak associated with the envelope of the signal segment with the threshold value of fetus movement. A device for detecting fetus movements contains: a Doppler ultrasound sensor for receiving a Doppler ultrasound signal from a fetus and at least one electronic processor programmed to perform techniques of the method. A non-short-term computer-readable data carrier is proposed with a program code stored on it, read and executed by one or more electronic processors to implement techniques of the method.

EFFECT: use of this group of inventions will improve the distinction between true fetus movements and false fetus movements.
