FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: adenoviruses with high immunogenicity and absence of pre-existing immunity in the general human population are described. The absence of pre-existing immunity is due to new hypervariable regions in adenovirus capsid protein hexone. The present invention relates to nucleotide and amino acid sequences of these new strains of adenoviruses, as well as recombinant viruses, virus-like particles and vectors based on these strains. In addition, pharmaceutical compositions and medical applications in the treatment or prevention of a disease and methods for obtaining adenovirus or virus-like particles using new sequences, recombinant viruses, virus-like particles and vectors are provided. New strains of adenoviruses also have an improved capability of reproduction.
EFFECT: invention expands the arsenal of therapeutic agents.
