FIELD: biotechnology; veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: presented is a vaccine based on subunits of the African swine fever virus (ASFV), which contains: (i) one or more recombinant polynucleotides which code for polypeptides given in SEQ ID NO: 1, 2 and 3, or their immunogenic fragments; or a variant at least 90% identical to one of the sequences SEQ ID NO: 1, 2 or 3; wherein the total number of different ASFV polypeptides encoded by one or more recombinant polynucleotides is 10 or less; or (ii) recombinant polypeptides given in SEQ ID NO: 1, 2 and 3, or their immunogenic fragments; or a variant at least 90% identical to one of the sequences SEQ ID NO: 1, 2 and 3; wherein vaccine contains 10 or less different ASFV polypeptides. Proposed are method of treating and/or preventing African swine fever in a swine subject, comprising administering to the swine subject a therapeutically effective amount of the disclosed vaccine; use of a recombinant polynucleotide or a recombinant polypeptide in preparing a drug for treating and/or preventing African swine fever in a swine subject.
EFFECT: use of the vaccine according to the invention enables to induce protection against ASF virus infection.
