METHOD FOR CARRYING OUT MANICURE AND PEDICURE PROCEDURES USING FLEXIBLE ONE-SIDED ABRASIVE DISCS WITH HOLE IN THE MIDDLE Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A45D29/00

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to procedures for personal use, namely manicure and pedicure, and can be used in professional and individual activities. The technical result of the invention is achieved by using flexible one-sided discs, in which particles of abrasive material are applied to one side of a flexible paper / polymer / tissue material having a hole in the middle. The cuticle, lateral folds and the nail plate are treated with an antiseptic and then the cuticle is gently pushed back with an orange stick. Then the cuticle and keratinized areas of the lateral folds are removed using flexible one-sided discs, wherein the flexible abrasive disc is put on the disc holder with the abrasive working side to the handle of the apparatus and the smooth non-working side to the nail plate to remove the cuticle. Then the hand is turned at an angle and, leaning on the little finger, with light circular movements, they begin to process the cuticle by lifting it. Next, the disc is rearranged, turning it over with an abrasive working surface from the handle of the apparatus, and lateral folds processing from right to left begins with tension of the lateral folds with the middle and thumb of the left hand, the disc is kept parallel to the surface to be treated, the same flexible disc is used to correct the shape of the nails and polish the nail plate. The operating speed of the flexible disk is no more than 3000-10000 rpm, which ensures that there is no burning sensation and a comfortable feeling for the client. Also, contact of the nail plate only with the smooth side of the disc eliminates cuts in the nail plate, which can lead to infection and even seriously damage the nail plate. After the completion of the procedure, professional products are applied to the treated areas to promote healthy nail growth. This method allows processing all types of cuticles, including thin, dry and sensitive, without injuring them and the nail plate.

EFFECT: non-traumatic, comfortable and inexpensive procedure for removing the cuticle and keratinized parts of the lateral folds, correcting the shape of the nails and nail polishing.
