FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: method for producing spores of microsporidia Nosema pyrausta includes breeding of European corn borer moths of the genus Ostrinia in laboratory conditions, artificial infection of caterpillars in the age II by the group method by adding Nosema pyrausta spores to the feed in the amount of 1*105 spores per caterpillar, and complete consumption of the feed by the caterpillars. The artificially infected caterpillars of the European corn borer moth Ostrinia nubilalis are grown until pupation at a temperature of +24°C for 20 to 30 days on agarised nutritious medium containing corn flour, soybean flour, wheat germ, agar-agar, brewing yeast, ascorbic acid, benzoic acid, a mixture of polyvitamins, kanamycin, nystatin, augmentin, and distilled water in the predetermined ratios of the components. Nosema pyrausta spores are isolated from the moth pupae by homogenising the pupae in distilled water, separating the supernatant liquid by centrifugation, resuspending the sediment in distilled water, producing spores.

EFFECT: invention provides a possibility of increasing the productivity of N. pyrausta microsporidia.
