FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, in particular to the control of especially dangerous agricultural pests. The method involves growing caterpillars of the common urticaria Aglais urticae, artificially infected with spores of microsporidia Nosema pyrausta, on natural food (fresh leaves of dioica nettle). Cultivation is carried out at a temperature of +24°C for 25 days, after which the spores of the producer are isolated from the pupated insects.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to multiply the productivity of N. pyrausta microsporidia.
