FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing bipolar heterogeneous ion-exchange membranes that can be used for the conversion of salts into acids and alkalis, in the production of high-purity water, water treatment for thermal power, wastewater treatment with the release of valuable elements. The method for producing bipolar membranes includes assembling a sandwich bag consisting of two polished stainless steel sheets and heterogeneous cation- and anion-exchange membranes separated from steel sheets by thermal paper, placing a sandwich bag in a sealed thermal bag made of silicone rubber, vacuuming the sealed thermal bag with simultaneous convection heating to a temperature of 130-145°C for 0.5-1 hour and cooling under vacuum.
EFFECT: improvement in the electromechanical properties of membranes.
