METHOD FOR MONITORING THE MOVEMENT OF A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS OBJECT, MAINLY A GLACIER AND A LANDSLIDE, FROM AN ORBITAL SPACECRAFT Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC G01S1/04 B64G1/24

Abstract RU 2763169 C1

FIELD: radar technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar and can be used for remote monitoring from a spacecraft of the movement of a potentially dangerous object (PDO). To do this, using radio signals from satellites of the satellite navigation system received by a receiving and transmitting radio device placed on a potentially dangerous object, the coordinates of the radio device (RD) are determined, according to which, taking into account the values of the parameters of the spacecraft orbit, the time of the RD being in the field of view of the transmitting antenna of the spacecraft is determined. The signal transmitted from the spacecraft with the current values of the orbit parameters is received. According to the parameters of the orbit and certain current coordinates of the RC, the time when the RD is in the field of view of the receiving antenna of the spacecraft is determined. A signal is transmitted from the RD to the spacecraft with the times and coordinates of the RD defined for a specified number of moments at specified time intervals. The parameters of the PDO movement are determined and the earliest moment of the system’s relative reaction, when the PDO is expected to reach the ground point is predicted.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of monitoring the movement of a potentially dangerous object relative to a ground point, contact to which by a potentially dangerous object can lead to catastrophic consequences.
