FIELD: dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely, to dentistry, and is intended for use in orthopedic dentistry. Impressions of the jaws of the patient are made prior to dental preparation, 3D scanning of the model of the jaw whereon orthopedic dental intervention is planned is performed. The supporting teeth are then prepared on the model according to the requirements for the selected types of prosthetics. Repeat 3D scanning of the jaw with the prepared dental stumps is performed, and on the resulting three-dimensional virtual model of the stumps of the prepared teeth, preparation caps with a thickness of 3 mm are modelled, provided with guides in the form of holes with a diameter of 1 mm directed normally to the surface of the prepared dental stumps. The inner part of the three-dimensional model of the preparation caps is superimposed on the initial three-dimensional model of the jaw and adjusted accounting for the shape of teeth prior to preparation. The resulting model of the preparation caps is made by 3D printing or milling. Immediately before the preparation of the teeth, the preparation caps are applied, then the depth of preparation of the hard dental tissues is marked by an endwise diamond drill with a diameter of 1 mm, immersing the rotating endwise diamond drill to the depth of 3 mm along the guides in the preparation caps relative to the surface of the latter. The preparation caps are then removed and the teeth are prepared to the bottom of the marking furrows, following the traditional algorithm.
EFFECT: method provides a possibility of increasing the accuracy of the geometric shape of the stumps of the prepared teeth by controlling the reduction thickness of the hard dental tissues.
