SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry and can be used in the pharmaceutical industry. A method for quantifying the amount of tannins in euterpe oleracea fruits by direct spectrophotometry includes preliminary preparation of water-alcohol extraction from euterpe fruits by extraction of 0.5 g, the exact quantity of the substance, crushed to particles of 1.0 mm, euterpe fruits with ethyl alcohol, in terms of a substance of phenolic nature, while extraction of raw materials is carried out once, 40% ethyl alcohol is used as an extractant in the ratio of raw materials : extractant of 1:100, quantitative determination of the amount of tannins in euterpe oleracea fruits is carried out at a wavelength of 282±2 nm in terms of catechin and the content of the amount of tannins (X in %), in terms of catechin using the theoretical value of its specific absorption index equal to 144.

EFFECT: creation of a method for quantifying the amount of tannins in euterpe oleracea fruit in terms of catechin.
