FIELD: analytical chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry and can be used in the pharmaceutical industry. A method for the quantitative determination of the amount of phenylpropanoids in moringa leaves by direct spectrophotometry includes preliminary obtaining an aqueous-alcoholic extract from moringa leaves by extracting 0.5 g of an exact weighed portion of moringa leaves crushed to 1 mm particles with ethyl alcohol, in terms of a substance of phenolic nature, in this case, the extraction of raw materials is carried out once, ethyl alcohol is used as an extractant in a concentration of 70% in the ratio "raw material-extractant" - 1:200, the quantitative determination of the amount of phenylpropanoids in moringa leaves is carried out at a wavelength of 330±2 nm in terms of chlorogenic acid and the content of the sum of phenylpropanoids (X in %) in terms of chlorogenic acid using the value of the specific absorption index equal to 497.
EFFECT: creation of a method for quantitative determination of the amount of phenylpropanoids in moringa oleaginous leaves in terms of chlorogenic acid.
