The method includes administration of carbamazepine to children at an average therapeutic dose of 10 to 20 mg/kg of body weight per day or valproic acid at an average therapeutic dose of 25 to 30 mg/kg of body weight per day and daily intravenous drip administration of a 1.5% Reamberin solution for infusions for 5 days, wherein Reamberin 200 ml is administered once a day at a rate of 40 to 80 drops per minute.

EFFECT: invention expands the range of means capable of correcting cognitive functions in children over the age of 7 during monotherapy of epilepsy in conditions of reduction of the daily dose of the energy corrector and, therefor, increase in the pharmacoeconomic efficiency.
