FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine and pharmaceuticals, namely, to a method for correcting cognitive functions during monotherapy of epilepsy in children over the age of 7. The method includes administration of carbamazepine to children at an average therapeutic dose of 10 to 20 mg/kg of body weight per day or valproic acid at an average therapeutic dose of 25 to 30 mg/kg of body weight per day and daily intravenous drip administration of a 1.5% Reamberin solution for infusions for 5 days, wherein Reamberin 200 ml is administered once a day at a rate of 40 to 80 drops per minute.
EFFECT: invention expands the range of means capable of correcting cognitive functions in children over the age of 7 during monotherapy of epilepsy in conditions of reduction of the daily dose of the energy corrector and, therefor, increase in the pharmacoeconomic efficiency.
