FIELD: airfoil repair.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the repair of an airfoil. After removing the damaged part of the airfoil, the remaining part of the airfoil is connected by electrical resistance soldering with the replacement part using a pre-sintered workpiece. The replacement part and the pre-sintered blank are configured to mate with the respective surfaces. The sintered body contains a powder mixture of superalloy particles and braze material. When brazing, local melting of the brazing material of the sintered billet is provided. During brazing, the surfaces of the airfoil to be joined have a temperature below the melting temperature of the grain boundaries of the airfoil material, and the brazing material has a melting point above the melting temperature of the grain boundaries of the airfoil material.
EFFECT: localized heating along the contact surfaces does not adversely affect the structural properties of the material and minimizes cracking of the connected component.
