FIELD: component forming.
SUBSTANCE: method for forming a component includes mixing a powdered base material and a binder to form a mixture, molding the mixture to a desired shape without melting the base material, removing the binder from the desired shape to form a carcass, wherein the volume of the carcass is between 80 percent and 95 percent of the base material, and impregnating the scaffold with the melting point depressant material to form a finished component, the finished component having less than one percent porosity by volume.
EFFECT: improvement in the quality of repair is achieved.
