SUBSTANCE: present group of inventions relates to the use of a plant extract of Galeopsis tetrahit or a composition containing it for the stimulation of hair growth. The cosmetic use of the plant extract extracted with an aqueous-alcohol solvent from an above-ground part of Galeopsis tetrahit species is proposed for the stimulation of hair growth in an individual. The cosmetic use of the composition containing the plant extract extracted with an aqueous-alcohol solvent from an above-ground part of Galeopsis tetrahit species and a physiologically acceptable carrier is proposed for the stimulation of hair growth in an individual, where the amount of the plant extract in the composition is from 0.0001 to 10 wt. %. The use of the plant extract extracted with an aqueous-alcohol solvent from an above-ground part of Galeopsis tetrahit species is proposed for the treatment of androgenic alopecia or telogen alopecia. The use of the composition containing the plant extract from an above-ground part of Galeopsis tetrahit extracted with an aqueous-alcohol solvent and a physiologically acceptable carrier is proposed for the treatment of androgenic alopecia or telogen alopecia, where the amount of the plant extract in the composition is from 0.0001 to 10 wt. %.
EFFECT: above-described use of the extract or composition based on it is effective for the stimulation of hair growth in an individual for the treatment of androgenic alopecia or telogen alopecia.
