FIELD: mining industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use as propping agents (proppants) in the extraction of oil, gas and water in order to increase the efficiency of well returns using hydraulic fracturing technology. The charge for glass-ceramic proppant includes alkaline cullet, while as the main component the charge contains a kaolin component of clay slurries containing kaolinite up to 44, wt.%, and obtained as a result of the extraction of titanium and zirconium-containing minerals from the Tugansky deposit of the Tomsk region, simultaneously performing the function of a plasticizer, with the following ratio of components, wt. %: kaolin component of clay slurries 65-72; alkaline cullet 28-35. The method includes preparation of charge components, joint grinding of metered charge components, preparation of plastic mass; formation of raw granules from it with sizes of 0.4-1.0 mm, drying, firing of granules in an oven at a temperature of 1180-1200°C for 10-15 minutes to sizes from 0.5-1.4 mm, cooling of granules and sieving by fractions.

EFFECT: simplification of the composition of the charge to the content of relatively cheap components for the production of lightweight high-strength glass-ceramic proppants, as well as the development of a method for obtaining glass-ceramic proppants with sufficiently high performance characteristics.
