FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering. The brush assembly of the electric machine contains conductors for supplying electric current, namely, brushes, slip rings of the rotor shaft of the electric machine. The bodies of the contact devices are movably and hermetically located on the rotor of the electrical machine and are rigidly connected to the body of the electrical machine. The inner cavity of the housings of the contact devices is filled with liquid metal, which forms a current conductor from the conductors for supplying electric current, namely brushes, electrically isolated from the housings of the contact devices, to the slip rings of the rotor of the electric machine.
EFFECT: reduction of mechanical contact and mechanical wear of the working surfaces of brushes and slip rings of the rotor of an electric machine.
