FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in industry to determine the total concentration in order to control the ventilation equipment of an enterprise by the dust factor and to prevent dust explosions. An optical dust meter is proposed, containing a measuring and reference channel with two protective windows, while the reference channel is filled with a dust-free gas mixture similar in composition to the exhaust gases of a particular enterprise. The optical dust meter also includes a device for controlling the dust content of the viewing windows, which is optically connected to the first viewing window in the measuring channel, the output of which is an input for the control device, the output of which is connected to a blowing device that blows the protective windows. It also contains a temperature control device, the output of which is connected to a microcontroller, a heating device for viewing windows, which maintains the temperature of the viewing windows of the measuring channel within specified limits. Contains two sources of radiation in the measuring and reference channels, operating at wavelengths in the region of maximum and minimum dust absorption and controlled by a microcontroller, the radiation from which is sequentially directed through the measuring and reference channels through the measuring and reference channels into a single light flux and then to the input a broadband photodetector, which is connected in series with an amplifier and a microcontroller that determines the level of dustiness and is connected to devices for blowing and heating the viewing windows. The measuring channel additionally contains a viewing window connected to the heating device and installed at an angle of 90 degrees relative to the light emitter axis, a mirror, a broadband photodetector connected in series and an amplifier connected to the microcontroller.
EFFECT: improving the accuracy of continuous measurement of concentration, determining the material composition of dust and its size, as well as eliminating errors arising from changes in uncontrolled parameters: humidity, concentration of carbon dioxide, methane, etc., which allows the device to work in difficult operating conditions of the enterprise.
