FIELD: optical-electronic monitoring methods.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method relates to optical-electronic methods for monitoring the concentration and material composition of dust. The invention can be used in industry to determine the total concentration, in order to control the ventilation equipment of the enterprise by the dust factor and to prevent dust explosions. A method for controlling dustiness is proposed, in which pulses of light radiation are sequentially generated at wavelengths in the region of maximum and minimum dust absorption and their transmission through a reference and measuring channel, at the output of which the radiation attenuation is measured, by which the concentration of dust is judged. At the same time, viewing windows are heated in the measuring channel, their dustiness is monitored and their automatic cleaning is carried out, and the ambient temperature is measured. In addition, to increase the measurement accuracy and the possibility of determining the material composition of dust, in addition, radiation scattered at two wavelengths is recorded in the measuring channel at an angle of 90 degrees to the axis of the incident radiation, then the logarithms of the ratio of the received signal pairs are determined, which are compared with the values ​​stored in the microcontroller memory.
