FIELD: bimetallic pipes production.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to produce bimetallic pipes from dissimilar metals, intended, in particular, for operation in corrosive liquids or gases. Coaxial assembly of tubular components into a composite workpiece is carried out with evacuation of the annular gap between the components, heating of the workpiece and its deformation. The annular gap between the components is evacuated with the simultaneous introduction of annular current-insulating wedges into the gap. Only the component with resistance to deformation is heated using the electrical contact method. The size of the gap between the tubular components and the heating time are selected from the condition of obtaining a temperature gradient of the tubular components before deformation of the composite workpiece, which ensures the ratio between the resistances of their deformation at the level of 1.8-2.1.
EFFECT: use of the method makes it possible to ensure a stable joint flow of components during deformation of the workpiece, improve the quality of bimetallic pipes by achieving the strength of welding of the components of the workpiece along the entire length of the pipe.
