DEVICE FOR DIAGNOSING THE TECHNICAL CONDITION OF METAL PIPELINES Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC F17D5/02 G01V3/08

Abstract RU 2763963 C1

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil and gas industry and is intended for monitoring the technical condition of pipelines without performing continuous stripping operations and any impact on the metal of pipes, and can be used in non-contact flaw detection of pipelines by registering and measuring the magnetic fields of scattering of pipeline defects. A device for diagnosing the technical condition of metal pipelines, which contains two three-component magnetic field induction sensors located at different levels relative to the pipeline, a third three-component magnetic field sensor located outside the zone of influence of the magnetic field of the pipeline, at a distance of 10-20 m, depending on the diameter of the pipeline. In addition, the device contains the first, second and third amplifiers, the first and second analog-to-digital converters, a wireless data transmission device, a signal correction device, a controller, a memory unit and an information display unit, respectively connected. According to the invention, the device is additionally equipped with a metal magnetic permeability meter placed on the outer surface of the pipeline, and the output of the magnetic permeability meter is connected to the input of the second data transmission device, the output of which is connected to the third input of the signal correction device, the output of which is connected to the input of the controller.

EFFECT: reducing costs and increasing the reliability of determining the parameters of pipeline defects during contactless magnetometric diagnostics by reducing the measurement error taking into account the magnetic properties of the pipeline metal.
