SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of wireless communication. An integrated circuit that, in operation, controls processing in a mobile station operating in one of a plurality of time division duplex (TDD) configurations in a communication system, the processing including the steps of: receiving a system information block (SIB) that includes including a default TDD configuration defining uplink, downlink and special subframes in one or more radio frames, receiving downlink control information and a corresponding error detection code for downlink control information, in response to successfully decoding the downlink control information with an error detection code, determine a TDD configuration from a plurality of TDD configurations based on the downlink control information, determine at least one serving cell to which said specific TDD configuration is to be applied applies said specific TDD configuration to one or more radio frames.

EFFECT: providing improved indication of the time division duplex communication configuration.
