FIELD: aerosol generation.
SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to an aerosol generating device and an aerosol generating system. The aerosol-generating device comprises a main body, a top cover containing a cavity adapted to receive an aerosol-generating article containing an aerosol-forming substrate, and a pusher. The top cover is movable between the first position and the second position relative to the main body. In the first position, the top cover is pushed out from the main body and said cavity is accessible for insertion of an aerosol generating article. In the second position, the top cover is retracted towards the main body and the said cavity is closed. The pusher is configured to push the aerosol generating article out of said cavity while moving the top cover from the first position to the second position.
EFFECT: used aerosol generating products are automatically ejected, preventing unwanted contamination of the cavity from the outside.
