SUBSTANCE: disclosed is container (210) for aerosol-generating articles, comprising box-like part (214), lid-like part (216) and a plurality of aerosol-generating articles arranged inside box-like part (214). Container also contains detachable plate workpiece (250) located in part (214) in form of box, or part (216) in form of cover, or in both. Detachable plate workpiece (250) has at least one longitudinal weakened line, along which the detachable plate-like workpiece can be folded to form an elongated cleaning tool (280) having a far end with a diameter less than the diameter of at least one of the aerosol-generating articles or equal to it. Elongated cleaning tool has scraper surface (282) at its far end for mechanical cleaning of cavity (3) of aerosol generating device (1), in which the aerosol-generating articles are placed during use. Also disclosed is a container having a detachable plate blank having a plurality of separate finger-like projections at its far end, and which can bend around its longitudinal axis to form a tubular elongated cleaning tool having bristles extending inward, forming a scraper surface.
