FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a device for monitoring capacitor inputs for a three-phase AC network. A method for monitoring capacitor inputs (2a, 2b, 2c) for an AC network is proposed, wherein the AC network has the first, the second and the third phases (A, B, C) and includes: first mains wire (5a), with which the first phase (A) and first capacitor input (2a) are correlated and to which the first mains voltage is applied, second mains wire (5b), with which the second phase (B) and second capacitor input (2b) are correlated and to which the second mains voltage is applied, third mains wire (5c), with which the third phase (C) and third capacitor input (2c) are correlated and to which the third mains voltage is applied; each of these capacitor inputs (2a, 2b, 2c) includes: wire (4) that is connected to the corresponding mains wire, electrically conductive lining (3) that surrounds this wire (4); for each of these phases, at a predetermined initial time (t0), for a characteristic value of the corresponding capacitor input, the corresponding characteristic value is determined; at a predetermined later time (tn) after the initial time (t0), the corresponding normalized characteristic value is determined for this characteristic value depending on the corresponding and/or on at least one of the other characteristic values; it is checked, whether this normalized characteristic value has changed in an unacceptable way.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of monitoring capacitor inputs for AC networks.
