FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a group of inventions: a polyolefin composition, a method for producing a polyolefin composition, a method for free-radical curing of a polyolefin composition, a cross-linked polyolefin product, a manufactured product, a coated conductor and a method for transmitting electricity. This composition contains polyolefin polymer of monocyclic organosiloxane of the formula (I): [R1,R2SiO2/2]n, organic peroxide of the formula RO-OO-RO. Polyolefin polymer is polymer of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) containing from 50 to 100 percent by weight of ethylene monomer links, from 50 to 0% by wt. of co-monomeric links of a (C3-C20)alpha-olefin derivative and from 20 to 0% by wt. of diene co-monomeric links, wherein the total weight percentage is 100.00% by wt.; from 0.01 to 50% by wt. The polyolefin composition does not contain a phosphazene base. The polyolefin composition does not contain 24% by wt. or more of an inorganic filler. The polyolefin composition is obtained by mixing polyolefin polymer and monocyclic organosiloxane. The method for free-radical curing of a polyolefin composition to obtain a cross-linked polyolefin product includes heating the polyolefin composition at an effective curing temperature with organic peroxide. A coated conductor contains a conductive core and an insulating layer partially covering the conductive core, wherein part of the insulating layer contains a polyolefin composition. The method for electricity transmission includes applying voltage to the conductive core of the coated conductor to generate a flow of electricity through the conductive core.

EFFECT: development of a polyolefin composition containing polyolefin polymer and an improved co-agent that is resistant to vulcanization and has a sufficient degree of cross-linking for use as insulating layers in power cables at higher voltages.
