FIELD: wood working.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the wood working industry, in particular, to manufacture of plywood. Wood workpieces are subjected to hydrothermal treatment, veneer is manufactured, dried, a polymer binder is applied to the veneer for adhesion, a packet is formed, pre-pressed, and hot-pressed. Hydrothermal treatment of the wood workpieces for producing veneer is executed at a temperature of 40 to 45°C for 4 hours. The veneer is dried in a steam dryer and a gas dryer at a temperature of 200 to 230°C and an output of 100°C for 7 min. Natural gas is used in the gas dryer as a heat carrier.
EFFECT: release of specific emissions of formaldehyde and methanol into the environment in the process of drying veneer during production of plywood is reduced.
