SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of environmental protection, in particular to eco-biotechnology and ecology. The invention relates to a method for water purification from oil and petroleum products contamination, providing for the introduction into contaminated water of a suspension of a biological product containing the oil-oxidizing microorganisms Pseudomonas putida PI Ko-1 and Micrococcus sp. PI Ku-1, while the aqueous suspension of the biopreparation is prepared at a concentration of 0.5-10.0 g/l with a titer of 1⋅10⁸-1⋅10¹² cells/ml, after which oil-oxidizing microorganisms are activated by bubbling the aqueous suspension of the biopreparation with air at a flow rate of 3-5 m³ per 1 m³ of suspension for 1.5-2.5 hours. The biopreparation additionally contains Rhodococcus erythropolis AS-1269 with a weight ratio of 3-12, wt. %, of each microorganism, while Vitaplan biopreparation is injected into the suspension of the biopreparation in an amount of 0.05-1.0 g per 1 liter of suspension and mixed to obtain a homogeneous suspension, and a homogeneous suspension of the biopreparation is injected into contaminated water in an amount of 1 g per 1 liter of contaminated water.

EFFECT: purification from oil and oil products contamination with a high rate of destruction, including heavy oil fractions, efficient in a wide range of pH and temperature of the medium being cleaned.
