FIELD: natural graphite particles production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of particles of natural graphite for anodes of lithium-ion batteries. The method for producing spherical graphite based on natural graphite includes destruction, rounding and abrasion of graphite particles. The original natural graphite is subjected to a single grinding in a turbo-vortex mill for at least 90 minutes at a mill rotor speed of at least 3000 rpm and a compressed air pressure of 0.2-0.6 MPa. Then high-temperature cleaning is carried out in the temperature range of 2200-2700°С at a temperature rise rate in this range of 200°С/h. The spherical graphite obtained has an ash content of 0.01 wt.%.
EFFECT: invention allows reducing labor and energy costs, to combine the processes of crushing and grinding in one device, to carry out the process of spheroidization of graphite continuously.
