FIELD: railways.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport. The motor car (10) of a high-speed train comprises a body and at least one traction engine. The body comprises a roof and a floor wherein the traction engine is located under said floor. The body comprises a machinery compartment located between the roof and the floor and containing electrical equipment (33) for controlling the traction engine and at least one ventilation apparatus (34) for electrical equipment. The ventilation apparatus comprises an air intake casing (36) formed by a closed pipe between the inlet (38) and the outlet (40) open into the machinery compartment, and a fan (42) located between the inlet and the outlet to create overpressure in the machinery compartment.
EFFECT: invention optimises the quality of the internal air of a motor car.
