SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a feed composition for regulating bone density, fecal quality and the general antioxidant status of blood serum for canine animals weighing 16 kg or less, a method for maintaining the health of a small dog and a method for regulating the health parameter. The composition contains antioxidants: vitamin E, vitamin C, vitamin A, selenium, lycopene, carotenoids, proanthocyanidins, bioflavonoids and catechins, as well as amino acids, including phenylalanine, tyrosine or a combination of phenylalanine and tyrosine, lysine, at least three components involved in metabolism, selected from a group consisting of: vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B5, vitamin B6, vitamin B7, vitamin B9 and vitamin B12, and components for maintaining bone health, including calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, vitamin D, while metabolites are present in amounts from 0.01 wt.% to 10 wt.% of the pet feed composition. The feed composition provides from 3500 to 6000 kcal OE per kg of the animal feed composition per dry substance. Methods provide for the use of the above-mentioned composition.
