FIELD: measurement of rotational speeds or turning angles of objects, such as robots, battery-operated trucks, automobiles, ships, aircraft, rockets. SUBSTANCE: fiber-optical gyro incorporates superluminescent radiator with output fibrous end, fibrous depolarizer of Lyot type, fibrous beam splitter and fibrous anisotropic circuit connected in series. Depolarizer includes two sections of anisotropic fibre. Beam splitter is made from anisotropic fibre and is optically coupled to photodetector from which output signal is picked off. Fibrous end of radiator is used as first section of depolarizer, input end of beam splitter is used in the capacity of second section. Output ends of beam splitter are so connected to ends of fibrous circuit that their anisotropy axes coincide. Given gyro presents compact structure of middle accuracy rating, simple in manufacture.
