FIELD: precious metals recovery. SUBSTANCE: initial solution contains platinum metals, gold, and non-precious metal admixtures. First, iridium contained in solution is reduced into trivalent state and gold into metal. Gold and admixtures remaining in solution are extracted by tributyl phosphate and then the same agent is used to extract platinum. Thereafter, palladium is extracted with sulfoxide, e.g. dimethylsulfoxide or petroleum sulfoxide. To obtain pure gold, its extract is washed with hydrochloric acid solution.
