FIELD: shaping.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus for processing rods comprises a storage (15, 15') equipped with accommodating elements (11, 12, 13), wherein a bundle (F1, F2, F3) or group of rods (B1, B2, B3) is located in each of said elements; a supply station (18) with a working plane (24), configured to move the rods (B1, B2, B3) to the destination station (29); a working plane (24) with a first edge (25), facing toward the destination station (29) and a second edge (26), facing said storage (15, 15'); an apparatus for extracting (20) rods (B1, B2, B3), connected with the supply station (18) and configured to remove rods (B1, B2, B3) from the accommodating element (11, 12, 13) of the accumulator (15, 15') and move them to the supply station (18); and means for moving (16, 17, 41) the storage (15, 15'), suitable for moving the accommodating elements (11, 12, 13). The storage (15) is located on a guide (16) inclined from the top down toward said supply station (18). The extraction apparatus (20) also includes rotating concave manipulators (21) rotating around an axis of rotation defined by a rotating shaft (19), essentially levelled and located in the same plane with the above edge (26) of the working plane (24) of the supply station (18).
EFFECT: safety of the apparatus is increased.
