SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and can be used when feeding rods to a machine, such as a bending machine, a machine for making staples, a welding machine, a cutting machine. The device for feeding rods (B) contains a working plane (11), on which a bundle (F1-F6) of rods (B) is located, and an extraction device (15). The specified device is made with the possibility of removing at least one rod (B) from the working plane (11) for its transfer to the destination station (16). Many gripping blocks are provided (22a-22f; 122), each of which is made with the possibility of placing a corresponding bundle (F1-F6) of rods (B) of a certain type.
EFFECT: increase in the degree of automation is provided when feeding rods of various types into machines located along the course with the exception of their downtime when performing operations to change the format of rods.
