FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for producing a spherical aluminum oxide catalyst carrier. To obtain a carrier, a mixture of solutions of aluminum oxychloride and urotropin is prepared at a concentration of 30 wt. %, and carbamide, mixed to obtain a pseudo-sol with an acidity of 5.0-5.6 pH. The resulting pseudo-sol is formed by dropping into mineral oil at a temperature of 95°С and holding the obtained spherical granules for 5-6 hours. The separated spherical granules are washed and fed for crystallization into an ammonia solution with exposure for 3-4 hours at the same temperature, washed with deionized water, dried and calcined. At the same time, the concentration of carbamide solution for the preparation of pseudo-sol is 5-30 wt. %, the concentration of aluminum oxychloride in terms of the aluminum hydroxide/water ratio is 230-260 g of Al(OH)3/1 l of H2O, and an ammonia solution is used with a concentration of 5 wt. %.
EFFECT: method ensures a reduction in the production process and an increase in the specific surface area of spherical granules of the aluminum oxide carrier to 190-240 m2/g.
