FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalysis – a method of producing a carrier with high water resistance for preparing catalysts for oil and gas processing, oil and gas chemistry. Described is a method of preparing a support for catalysts based on aluminum oxide by peptization of pseudo-boehmite aluminum hydroxide, having an CSR size (coherent scattering region) in the [020] direction in range of 30–100 Å with an aqueous solution of a mineral and/or organic acid, granulating plasticized mass and heat treatment of obtained carrier granules by drying and calcining at temperature of 500–650 °C, after the calcination step, the cooled carrier granules are held in an atmosphere of saturated moist air for 10 to 80 hours at temperature of 15–35 °C and atmospheric pressure.
EFFECT: reduced amount of losses of both the carrier and active components which occur at the stage of catalyst preparation as a result of cracking of molded granules of the carrier.
