FIELD: glass production.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a system for the manufacture of glass products from a glass tube and to a method for controlling a glass tube converter. The system for the manufacture of glass products from a glass tube contains a converter containing a base having a set of processing stations spaced apart along the contour, and a reel made with the possibility of movement relatively to the base. The reel has a set of holders extending from the reel in the direction of the set of processing stations, and the set of holders are spaced apart. The reel is made with the possibility of sequential step-by-step movement of each of the set of holders to a position near each of the set of processing stations. The converter additionally contains a thermal imaging system containing a thermal imager connected to the reel for moving along with the reel. The thermal imager is located so that to capture infrared light emitted by a glass tube located in one of the set of holders.

EFFECT: measurement of the temperatures of glass tubes during the conversion of glass tubes for the manufacture of glass products.
