FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy and can be used in manufacture of products without furnace heating. A powder charge containing a metal powder modified by dielectric powders is placed in a closed die. First, the charge is compressed by compaction at the initial pressure, then an electric current is constantly passed in the longitudinal direction. The charge is then compacted by compressing at a pressure exceeding the initial one.
EFFECT: high bending strength limit and low residual porosity of the resulting products.
