FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to eye surgery. The vitreoretinal illuminator consists of a set of laser light sources with different emission wavelengths, a first optical element combining the light of all the lasers of the set into one common light beam, a second optical element directing the light of the common light beam into the optical fibre, the opposite end whereof is located in an optical outlet, located in series. A modal scrambler in form of a coiled optical fibre segment fixed on the reciprocating motion generator made as a vibration generator is installed between the element for directing the light beam into the optical fibre and the optical socket.
EFFECT: application of the invention allows increasing visual and television identification of informationally significant objects of vitreoretinal surgery.
