FIELD: botany and forestry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of botany and forestry and can be used to carry out complex research in the field of seasonal changes in plants, such as phenological observations, observation of the growth of leaves, shoots, flowers, fruits and cones. The method of complex tracking of seasonal changes in plants consists in using a device consisting of a frame on which a camera is installed at one end, and at the other a vertical screen, the upper part of which is made in the form of a marker board, a vertical grid mounted on a carriage movable relative to the frame and located in front of the vertical screen on the camera side, while it is necessary to go around the territory, select a model plant and its investigated parts, after which the investigated part of the model plant is placed in front of the vertical screen, photographs are taken, and then the size of the investigated part of the model plant is determined by the projection of its image onto the screen. In this case, after selecting a model plant, an identifier symbol is attached to it, and before placing the investigated part of the model plant in front of the screen on the upper part of the screen, made in the form of a marker board, an inscription identifying it is made with a marker. On the movable carriage, a grid with a certain cell size is installed vertically relative to the frame, and the investigated part of the model plant is placed between the grid and the screen. Then the movable carriage is moved together with the grid towards the screen until the investigated part of the model plant is straightened between the grid and the vertical screen. After that, photographs are taken, the movable carriage along with the grid is moved away from the screen, the investigated part of the model plant is removed, the inscription is erased from the screen, and the dimensions of the investigated part of the model plant are set from the photograph, taking into account the scale of the grid cells.
EFFECT: method provides high measurement accuracy when observing plant growth.
