FIELD: woodworking.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the woodworking industry, in particular, to production of a modified wood product. Lignin is decomposed into lignin fission products. The lignin fission products are fractionated. One or multiple fractions of lignin fission products are selected. The selected lignin fission products are chemically modified. A phenol-formaldehyde resin, optionally containing chemically modified lignin fission products, is produced. The wood is treated with the phenol-formaldehyde resin, optionally containing chemically modified lignin fission products, to produce a modified wood product.
EFFECT: hydrolytic stability, atmosphere resistance, and biological durability of wood are improved.
