SUBSTANCE: method includes: receiving by a first mobility management entity PDN packet data network connection information, which was established when the terminal device accesses the EPC enhanced packet core network; and receiving, by the first mobility management entity, based on the PDN connection information, the S-NSSAI network segment selection support information of the network segment corresponding to the PDN connection, where the S-NSSAI of the network segment corresponding to the PDN connection is used to indicate the network segment for establishing a session of the PDU.
EFFECT: establishing a session when performing a handover of a terminal device from an EPC supporting DCN to 5GC supporting a network segment, in such a way that a PDU session in 5GC network segment can be established based on the selected S-NSSAI.
