FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to plasma propulsion engines (PPE) of space vehicles (SV). The PPE assembly includes elements of the magnetic circuit of an ionisation chamber and a discharge end (cathode). Said elements create a certain total dipole magnetic moment of the PPE. An assembly for attaching the PPE to the body of the SV is installed at the other (anode) end of the engine. Multiple magnetic sources or a magnetic element are placed on the attachment assembly, located relative to said multiple elements of the magnetic circuit so as to (partially) compensate for the dipole magnetic moment of the PPE.
EFFECT: significant reduction in the perturbing effects on the SV during interaction of the total magnetic dipole moment of the PPE with the external magnetic field, without a significant effect of the reduction in said dipole moment on the magnetic field inside the discharge chamber of the PPE.
