FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compact devices for measuring electromagnetic field and directional properties (amplitude-phase characteristics) of antennae, antenna arrays, or their modules. Use of a method for measuring amplitude-phase characteristics in a near zone and a measurement method with insulation of measuring equipment, a program-mathematical complex for processing results, minimization of free space in the chamber and special design of the chamber itself, which enables to measure characteristics in the temperature range. Measurement of the characteristics of the measuring device is possible both with the use of a flat positioner (a probe-antenna is mounted on it), and with the use of a cylindrical and spherical positioner. Device can be metrologically certified as a measuring instrument. Measurement techniques using a flat positioner comply with GOST 8.309-78, non-standard measurement techniques of the measuring device can be metrologically certified in accordance with GOST R 8.563-2009.

EFFECT: measurement of parameters of antenna devices under the effect of various climatic factors and reduction of the dimensions of the measuring equipment due to measurements in the near zone and the use of a software-mathematical complex for calculating directional properties (amplitude-phase characteristics) of antennas, antenna arrays, or their modules.
