FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method for telomere elongation is proposed. Into the animal cell, a compound is injected containing a synthetic ribonucleic acid encoding telomerase reverse transcriptase, in the result of which telomerase reverse transcriptase is temporarily expressed in the cell. The specified ribonucleic acid contains at least one modified nucleoside that reduces the immunogenicity of ribonucleic acid. At least on uridine contained in the specified synthetic ribonucleic acid is replaced by modified uridine.
EFFECT: invention provides for rapid and safe telomere elongation without the risk associated with insertion mutagenesis, which leads to aging slowdown and increase in proliferative potential of cells without their immortalization.
